When using CAD, the difficult modeling situations are as varied as the geometry itself. There’s no engineer who’s seen it all. You are much better served by the engineer who’s good at coming up with techniques that are a combination of others’. For example, one company we worked with wanted to create embossed letters distributed around a conical rim. Most CAD packages do not have an “embossed letters distributed around a conical rim” command. The method that was used was the combination of a few powerful techniques.
