Apple iPhone, Friday!!

Of course you’ve heard about it before now (unless you’ve
been under a rock or something.
) But,
the iPhone releases this Friday. Are you
standing in a line somewhere waiting to be one of the first to purchase? Or will you wait for the 2d gen? Or do you not care at all?

A car with no blind spots?
dozen horizontal leather-like strips. The body panels are see-through in this cigar-shaped plastic-bodied
vehicle.
It was introduced at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show.
From the Rinspeed press release:
“Everybody who has the pleasure of driving it is agreed on
one thing: Glancing down through the transparent floor while the car is moving
gives a very special kind of thrill.”

Robot insurance policy, anyone?
Japanese scientists Minoru Asada and Hiroshi Ishiguro
(who famously created an android twin of himself) have developed a baby
robot. The bot can walk, talk and
feel. Covered in a grey putty-like
silicone skin, it weighs 33kg and stands 130cm tall.
CB2, as they are calling the bot, has 197 tactile sensors embedded in its
outer layer and 51 compressed air-powered actuators, which allow it to react to
touch. When touched, it blinks as if surprised, stops moving, and turns its
gaze toward the person who touched it.
Currently, CB2, whose full name is Child-robot with Biomimetic Body, has the
“intelligence” of a 1-2 year old. Future
plans include software allowing it to walk and talk like a 3 year old.
