It’s always been difficult to estimate how long a design job will take. The nature of design in general isn’t altogether predictable. In many cases we as engineers are asked to design something that has never existed before; add to that the computer aided design factor.
CAD is a huge multiplier of all the good and bad that we can do as design engineers – so when we’re asked to estimate how long a design job using CAD will take, the challenge can be considerable.
In order to help out we’ve designed something that we call DPET, the Design Project Estimation Tool. So, when you find the need to estimate a large or small project, take a look at what we have.
