The snow globe was a way to use the program to create on an object that is not so linear and angular. The ground snow was created with splines of parallel planes and through curve mesh. Then I made a spherical surface and used the trim body command. The snow on the edge of the trees is a curve on the surface using splines, then split body. I then set the selection filter to face and thickened the faces and blended the edges. If you would like to create one of your own, please download the file below.
